Privacy Policy

How ArtPlayer handles local files, provider-backed media processing, cookies, privacy-safe telemetry, advertising consent, and data retention.

:

Overview

ArtPlayer provides a browser-based video player editor, subtitle editor, and media tools. Most browser tools process your files locally in your browser. Provider-backed tools, such as AI image upscaling, may send files or file references to a third-party processing provider when you choose to run that tool.

This policy explains the information we process, why we process it, and the choices you have.

Information we process

Files you choose for local browser tools stay on your device unless a specific tool tells you it uses a cloud provider.

Provider-backed tools may process uploaded media, file references, task identifiers, task status, duration metadata, anonymous quota identifiers, and short-lived task history.

We may process technical information such as device type, browser type, page URL, language, error reports, approximate usage events, and security logs.

Cookies and local storage

We use necessary cookies and local browser storage for language, app preferences, security checks, anonymous quota control, and tool sessions.

Optional analytics or advertising cookies are only used when you allow those categories in the cookie banner.

We may also collect cookieless aggregate counts, such as daily page views or tool action totals, without setting identifiers or building user profiles.

Feedback submissions

When you use the feedback form, we store the feedback text, the optional email address you provide, the current page path, language, and submission time so we can review and respond to your message.

Feedback is not used for marketing. We normally delete feedback and contact details within 180 days unless they are still needed to resolve the request, prevent abuse, or meet a legal obligation.

Third-party services

We may use third-party services for analytics, advertising, error monitoring, hosting, and cloud media processing. These services process information only for the purposes described in this policy and in the tool interface.

Cross-origin isolated browser tools avoid loading third-party analytics or advertising scripts because those pages need strict browser isolation for WebAssembly workers.

Retention

Browser-local files are not retained by ArtPlayer. Provider-backed tool task records are kept only for a short operational period unless a longer period is required for security, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.

Cookie choices may be retained for up to 12 months so the banner does not reappear on every visit.

Your choices

You can reject optional cookies, change browser permissions, clear local storage, or avoid provider-backed tools if you do not want media processed by a cloud provider.
